Oh! Passerby

Oh! my pretty passerby
Tell me about your travel
Did you see bridges and castles?
Did you buy any birds?
Did you see rainbows or rivers?
Any new people did you trust?

Oh! my innocent passerby
was there anything of interest?
Were there any neat girls of your choice?
Any disappointing rush
Was it a journey on fast moving vehichles
Or did you take camels?

Oh! my tired passerby
Why do you look so sad?
Did you run into some trouble?
Or made some horrid mistakes?
Are you tired of roaming around?
Have you lost some bet?

Oh! my dull passerby
Maybe, I can be of some help
Maybe, I can show you around
And later put you to bed
Did you see some thing you think was wrong
Or did you knock the door of a wrong person?

Oh! my silent passerby
You must say what happened.

I started of fine
with some music and wine
I was an enthusiast
Curiosity killed the man in me
I admit I made mistakes

I forgot my past
Ignored my future
And jumped into the present
I wore silly clothes
Lured onlookers with treasures I never had
Now I want to go back home
And sleep to forget this loss
I want to shed my responsibilities
And break the promises I hold

Oh! passerby
I feel sad for travelers like you
The ones who don't have a map.
